SPF - Not Enough
The Sun Protection Factor (SPF) number is not an accurate determination of a sunscreen's capability of protecting the skin from the sun's harmful rays. SPF is only an indication of protection from one wavelength of Ultraviolet light, the UVB (290nm*- 320nm). UVB is the cause of early skin redness experienced during initial sun exposure. UVA (320nm - 400nm) is responsible for deeper skin damage, and many of the long term destructive changes that are harmful to the skin. Unfortunately there is no official rating system, to date, that measures a product's UVA protection.
INGREDIENTS
Active Ingredients:Titanium Dioxide (Sunscreen), Zinc Oxide (Sunscreen).
Inactive Ingredients:Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Butyloctyl Salicylate, Butylene Glycol, Butylparaben, Caprilic/Capric Triglyceride, Cetearyl Alcohol, Cetearyl Glucoside, Cyclomethicone, Dimethicone, EDTA, Ethylhexyl Hydroxystearate Benzoate, Glyceryl Stearate, Iron Oxides, Isopropylparaben, Melissa Officinalis Leaf Extract (Balm Mint), Octyldodecyl Neopentanoate, PEG-100 Stearate, Phenoxyethanol, PVP/Eicosene Copolymer, Retinyl Palmitate, Simethicone, Sorbitan Laurate, Styrene/Acrylates Copolymer, Talc, Tocopherol, Tocopheryl Acetate, Water, Xanthan Gum.
DIRECTIONS
Apply a thin even layer to exposed skin areas uniformly and completely 15 minutes prior to exposure. Reapply every 3-4 hours or after excessive sweating or swimming.
WARNINGS
External use only. Avoid contact with eyes. Rinse eyes thoroughly if contact occurs. If skin irritation or sensitivity occurs, discontinue use. Keep this and all medications out of reach of children.
